March 16 Post-Game Accident

Well, here the story.

Great day of CQC, right up to the time we left. Managed to make it so far as 97S/Pacific before the roads got too shitty. Traffic came to a sudden stop (almost caused a pile-up) halfway up the hill. I was going to change lanes since we knew the car wouldnt stop in time, but there was a small dark car speeding up that lane. Had I switched lanes we would have been sent spinning into the front end of a Northbound semi w/ trailer, so we went right into the back end of a large Ford pickup. Slid for approximately 20 feet and went under the truck before bouncing back about 10-12 feet, as well as pushing the car 6 inches forward. And no, the airbags did not deploy, so somebody is looking at a lawsuit for that one...they had supposedly been fixed before I bought the car.

Thankfully, all injuries are minor. Drache banged up his knees (torn muscles above and below) as well as some muscles in his lower back. Campbell suffered some minor whiplash in the shoulders. Sniffles came out unscathed, but I've got a pretty bad case of whiplash (entire back, shoulders, neck, and ribcage).

Needless to say, we are all alright, though I cant say the same for the car...Drache will put up the pics in a minute.

I too would of course like to put out a huge thanks for Dave and letting Campbell and I spend the night there after I was released from the ER. We owe you one!

Great pics! Thanks for posting. I am very glad that everyone is okay! Yeah, this winter has been very bad for roads, one reason that I have been sticking to Greyhound. I hope that this doesn't kill the road trips for everyone! Here is hoping for better weather.

Wow...shitty deal.

It was a pretty sketchy drive home for me too, took 3 hours when it should have taken 2. It was a complete blizzard PG to PK and the roads were ice. I was slippin' around in the city on my way out of town pretty good and I got studded tires!

Yeah, what an interesting day. Thanks Dave for the use of the couch, now I need to find one for myself, if you cant get the after game smell out, I can take the couch off your hands!

I went up on Tuesday just for fun, and guess what happens to me! I got backed into! We were all fine, just a couple scratches on my side moldings, and a pushed in fender.

Are you serious? What were you driving when you got backed into?

I think it was a '92 Dodge/Chrysler Daytona?

Sorry to hear about the post game accident. The roads have been pretty bad this year and every time I've headed down to Kamloops the stretch between PG and Williams Lake has been particularly nasty. I bought a truck in Kamloops on my last trip down and got 6 rock chips between Williams Lake and Quesnel, don't those pricks know the difference between rocks and sand!

Hahahahaha 2nd day I had the pickup I got a rockchip too, said some interesting words about that ..... lumber truck driver that was driving down the center of the highway throwing all sorts of shit at oncoming traffic. Next day I went to Sunset Glass and he filled the chips so they won't spread. Cost $10.
