August 5th- 0930 - Buster 2
Well the second MilSim is almost ready.
I fixed the date to August 5th (long weekend) but if too many people are out, I'll move the date. I choose sunday because a lot of guys are busy on saturday. I'd like to start around 0930 but that can be changed too (church)
For the first timers, a MilSim one game for the whole day with multiples missions, objectives, situations etc... If it's your first one, read the briefing & debriefing of the privious MilSim : it'll give you a good idea.
For the veterans, this one will be different : less acting, less decision making, less stress but way more shooting.
Basic organisation : 5 teams !! Again teams are based on gear, so start looking for gear.
Bearland army : 5 to 10 slots. must have military gear (same patern is better)
Mooseland army : exact same size, same requirements
Bearland guerrilla : 5 to 10 slots, must have one piece of civvies mini (shirt or pants) = can't be in full set of camo.
Mooseland guerrilla : same
IFOR (interposition force) : 5 to 10 MUST have military gear with the same patern OR will wear orange or blue hat all day.
Situation :The region of Buster is situated between the Mooseland and the Bearland. Both countries claim Buster as part of their territory. For the last 20 years, small fire exchange are commun between the two armies.
The local population is now involve in a growing conflict, and conduct sabotage, assasination and guerrilla warfare.
To prevent a major war, NATO sent troops as Interposition Forces to stop the combats and force the parties to negociate.
You can start sign up for the game, teams are not secret so you can post here. Sign up too for leader position but I'll decide.
Send me a pm if for sure you CAN'T play this day.
You can bring friends without gun : I have a role for them
Rules update :
Game is based on turns, each team got 2h to complete its objectives and score points.
Typical turn :
One military team has to secure differents position to expand their territory. To secure a position the team leader attaches a ribbon at the center of the position then blew the airhorn for 3 seconds.
The other military team has to defend its positions. It can be done only by guarding or/and patrolling. NO ambush.
Guerrilla team can work with their military team (ambush, recon, diversion...) or by themselves. They can not take a position but can make sure their military team are clear to do it.
When a position is secure, it is so for the rest of the turn.
IFOR specials rules.
IFOR troops are here to stop the combats. They work as a repulsive magnet with military troops : no one can be less than 5 m of a IFOR soldier, whatever the situation they have to move away from any IFOR troops. That's how the IFOR stop most combat, by moving betwen the belligerents. IFOR soldiers can and will shoot anybody not moving away fast enough.
Military leader can decide to engage the IFOR forces but they have 5 mn to destroy the full team. Past 5 mn the whole team is consider destroyed by air support called by IFOR.
Same rules for an IFOR soldier hit by accident : the IFOR engage and after 5mn win the combat if there's IFOR soldier still alive.
Guerrilla can ambush and attack IFOR. Special rule doesn't apply to them.
IFOR can't engage guerrila on sight, must be self defense.
During a turn all teams can receive secret objectives by the gamemaster.
After 2h the attacking become the defender.
Respawn is done at respawn points or at captured position if not under attack. It is done by pair or by 3 mn : you wait 3 mn unless someone join you, then both of you respawn.
Still have no clue how to keep track of the points
