Hi,
I'm almost 41. I'm looking to get into airsoft here in Prince George and area. I just have to figure out how to become a member, so I need to get my butt in gear.
I have a Jing Gong G36C so far.
Looking forward to playing.
Cheers

welcome, check out the links section if you are looking for gear or anything else. How did you find our lowly site?

How do find the Jing Gong? I would love to take a look at it sometime. We have a chrono if you want to measure how fast it is shooting.

Thanks!! I googled airsoft and Prince George.
I stumbled upon Buyairsoft.ca and did a lot of other research and decided on trying the JG before getting anything more expensive. I have fired about 5000 rounds since, and I love it. It shoots between 320 and 350 fps stock, but an official chrono would be great!!
I am hoping the internals will last a while... so far they seem quite robust.
Cheers and thanks for the welcome.

I'd love to get into it ASAP. I still have to get goggles, and clothing. Any recommendations for local places to buy these sure would be appreciated.
Yeah, Vortexs...love that G36C!!

https://pgairsoft.forumotion.com/Classifieds-c7/For-Rent-For-Sale-f3/Practical-Tactical-t91.htm

they have the weirdest hours but they can get gear in for pretty good deals. Daes is doing an order from Vancouver in the group order section too. There is the army surplus across from the white spot but he has very limited stock.

For goggles just buy paintball or tactical goggles. Home Hardware or Pracical tactical have good stuff.

Welcome!! Another G36 is always welcomed. We can start doing H&K vs. AR games soon Razz

How many mags do you have so far for your little beasty?
What kind of BB's are you currently using?

I actually have paintball goggles, but I wasn't sure if they'd be impact resistant enough for airsoft...I was thinking of doing a poor-mans' chrono test on them!! : ) just to see if they'd hold up. Actually, it is a mask and goggle set, so I suppose I could use them.
I have these good quality .20 gram bbs ( white )that I bought when I got my G36C. I can't recall thename at the moment...I'll check when I get home. I will have to get another couple of bags fast.
I really want to get a tactical vest in addition to the garb. Are fabric hats a must??
Thanks!

BTW I have the 470 round hi-cap mag...only one. I'd really like to get two mid-cap mags for it as well.

416 Ouch
has to be a bigger version somewhere

A face mask is great, as with something to lessen the blow against your head, toque, scarf, hat, helmet, anything helps.

We have fairly stringent rules regarding FPS up here and most guns will be shooting in a range that will cause minimal harm. So best to gear up, cover most areas you can with clothes, and you should be A-ok (I have been shoot from 3 feet away, straight into a front tooth by a TM and no damage was done, luck of the draw).

Will an FPS of between 320 and 350 fit the bill?

H&K vs. ARs...now that sounds good! : )

About how many people meet here in Prince George? Are there X amount of members, and at any time a certain amount of us show up for a game... and teams made up at that point?
Woodland games?
I assume upcoming games are posted in a thread somewhere.

Ages ago, I used to work in a pulp mill. That would be an awesome environment to play. I remember working there on night shifts, walking from level to level and thinking, Hey, this is pretty Alien like."

Right now, the only thing I am thinking about purchasing besides the clothes, are more bbs, two mid cap mags, and another battery. I'll have to see about getting in on an order sometime.

BTW I'd never shoot someone at 3 feet... I read and downloaded some rules from the net and they were very informative... and most were common sense...the honour system to say when you're hit... among others, for example.

Great that you have done some reading! Best thing though is real game experience, learn alot quickly. If you make it to the game this weekend, there will be at least 16 or more players. Sounds like I will be probably making it and I can lend you some mags, I have 7 spare G36 low-caps that I never use (68rnds per mag or whatever).

Here is a list of members:
https://pgairsoft.forumotion.com/NIA-news-f1/Ranking-t349.htm

We have a small number of super dedicated players and a huge base of part-time players (70+ I think).

Accidents happen, don't worry, we are easy going. Sometimes things slip-up and people get shot wrong but nobody holds it against you. Like you said, commonsense is usually best, just sometimes the combat stress can get to ya Razz

This is awesome news regarding the thriving club here inthe PG area. That is a relief, to tell you the truth. I was a little worried that there would be only paintballers here in area.
Thanks regarding the offer for the mag loans! If I can get the rest of my gear fast enough I'd love to make it to the weekend game. If not, then I'll see you at the next one.
