at the meat and great someone menchind a mortar so I drew up a designe, but I'll need to get someone else to post it for me. My computer dosn't let my post pics, and I can't scan it. I would like to keap this separit from the RPG.
My idea is to get a peace of PVC pipe somewhere around 1 inch in diameter. close it off at one end with a valve or something hocked up to compresed air. Find a piece of rubber that is a sealing fit inside the pipe. to this peace of ruber tape a few peaces of card board, (making a cup in which to put BB's) make sure that the card board strips can pivot at their atached point, (very simalar to a shot guns wading). we could atache a string to the end of the rubber disk that fits down into the tube, this would insure that the wadding doesn't go with the bbs for any length of time after leaving the tube and we don't have to keep making more wadding.
AND LOW AND BEHOLD it rains BB's

The coincedence is sweet like honey. Me and Doug just went through 6000-8000 bbs doing pretty much the exact idea that you just mentioned. We used the launcher that Buddley lent me. Which is

Tire valve fills a large holding tank. Celaniod switch releases preasure (we kept it around 70-80psi). In the barrel we put wadding and juyst dumped around 1000 bbs into it. Doug tried a wadding with bbs in it but we found that it was just more work for the same results.

Effective range from 10-100ft easily. Doug and I both took shots within 15 ft and there was little to no pain...just a total shower of bbs. When fired high in the air they really showered down...very effective. Talk to Buddley about what he used for materials and plans and feal free to make your own.

Thanks for the heads up. The idea I have for the wadding should keep the BB's in a tighter group, but I haven't been able to test it yet.

For the launcher I've used styrofoam coffee cups cut to make a sabot, in which a water balloon fit. Once fired, the sabot protects the fragile balloon through the barrel and then drops off of the balloon about 10' from the barrel. A person could load several smaller packets of BBs loosly packed in paper wadding into the cup sabot. Or continue to use small balloons with a load of BBs and pressured with air.

Bad news, Canadian Tire raised their BB prices. 10,000 BB containers have been raised to $35 from $30. Sad

Does anyone know the current rate for BB's at Walmart?

These Cannon's use an amazing amount of BB's per shot. A viable cheap resource is required. I do not want to be shooting $3.50 a shot. I guess this is why reusible shots are attractive.

Peas from super store are $.11 for 100g. Here's the link to Daes and Buddleys Cannons in action. Someone will have to fix the sideways videos.

The long range video I hit Doug from that far away with ease...just to give you an idea of range.

The peas worked well. Only worry I have is with little pieces breaking off in the mesh goggles. But by far, the cheapest alternative Smile
