Hi!

My name is bradley, been wanting to get into airsoft for a while finally getting round to it.

Don't have any gear cept a daisy spring action pistol.

would like to get some sort of assault rifle.

Do you have any preference as to what kind of rifle?

um not Really i'm new to airsoft. I used to be a competitive marksman so i know lots about air rifles and 22's and other actual firearms.

i can take them apart and fix/modify them but far as brands and whatnot go im a noob:)

i would prefer something like an m-16 or an ak or some sort of assault rifle with a deacent length barrel that isn't unwieldy, not a machine gun style one though.

what other stuff would i need for gear? im assuming a face mask or something other than safty glasses which tend to fall off

So Mr.Fender, tell us about yourself, age etc, Horton can get u verified on ASC(assuming u r over 16) which will let you read about almost every type of airsoft gun out there. There are hundreds of m16 variants in airsoft and nearly as many ak variants. Gear? Yes goggles are a must. Camo, up to you what u like, just get what u can afford and after awhile your collection will build.

well i'm 18, 19 in sept, working as an assistant engineer right now but im goin to bcit in the fall so ill be in van.

i'm an outdoors guy love camping hiking/backpacking, canoeing kayaking u name it

as i said b4 i used to shoot competitively and have done so since i was 13 (just air rifles and 22 which are actually the most difficult to score well with) i was doing that until September

oh and i was in cadets and made it to warrant of a platoon b4 having to leave for since i had a chem lab that occupied the same night as cadets.

that's basically it, that and i love to tinker in the garage

Cadets here in town(PG)? I have two boys in Cadets. One Navy League and the other in Army.

Ya i was in 2618 RMR My Little sister is currently the CSM i was the Core's Rifle Coach and i put alot of work into getting a shooting program that was good there and had done by the time i left. since i left it has fallen by the wayside oh well

Well now you have done the marching, now u can come play with the big boyz! Airsoft is a lot of fun and you will meet some amazing ppl. Your sis might enjoy it too.

Well Bradly, welcome! Nice to see the cadets that I've met b4 showing up here, any questions, just ask. There is a surplus store near me that sells new AEG's (airsoft guns), you can find in the link section. And I could be persuaded to do some shopping.

I strongly recomend the AK over anything in the M series. The AK has a lot less issues and a better mechbox. The Ak's are really easy to work on as well. I'll admit the M stuff can look cooler and is used by the americans, but there are pages of non 3rd world looking AKs too.
