hey horton,

u could always change ur tommy to a m41 pulse rifle like in the aliens movie...u just have to buy a conversion kit...if u don't mind spending money. Here's a link to the m41
http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=2957

one more thing...G&P makes the kit

I have seen that before but thanks for the reminder. It's ironic because they took the oldest model of gun and made it into a pulse rifle. Suspect I am honestly looking at options for another gun or upgrades..so far it's lose lose.

I guess it's about time to retire ur tommy...its gettin old... Laughing Troy industries just came out with the new M14 SOPMOD...looks pretty sweet. It has a retractable stock and tons of rails for scopes, vertical grips, flashlight...u name it...but it's pricey....on the other hand....u can always go nuts and buy a M60E3 or a M249...the choice is up to u silent

Support guns are soo much money!! When I look at how much I have sunk into tom already though I could have bought a new M60...hmmm. I am going to the bonvoyage tomorow and am buying a rail for tom. I pulled him all apart last night (really cool take down features I never new about) and found an easy way to add a rail without having to drill any new holes in the body. I am definatly sending him out to calgary to get upgraded to 350fps this winter too. You thought he was ugly before.

Hortons Heroes - Gun Doctor Level +1

Yeah Dave, way to go, what do your guts look like? Is it a big block like V.2 & 3 or is it a weird mechanism?

Here is a pic of the new V.7 mechbox... Yeah, upgrading it will be a challenge...

looks small and simple. A 2/3 size of the v2 that I have seen. I am deffinatly going to get that rail put on. There is a real gun smith in town that does professional work for cheap. Something like $50 to attach my rail with parts included. To make sure it's done right I think it's worth the money.

PostSubject: Re: TOM IS OLD   Wed 07 Dec 2005, 6:26 pm

BAH! The tom adventures continue...The tab that connects my outer barrel to the reviever snapped somewhere on Saturday. I'm missing any parts but if you want to see what I mean take a look in the doctors corner on ASC.

http://www.airsoftcanada.com/showthread.php?goto=newpost&t=20663

TM doesn't make spare outer barrel for the M1A1 so I'm going to have to patch this up somehow. There are 2-3 ways I could go to fix this. Check out the links on that thread and let me know if you have the tools or clue on how to fix it. Thanks guys.

That is lame, so very lame...

It would not be very hard to whip something together like what is advertised on the thread. All it is doing to re-attaching the tab on the outer barrel and putting a jointer between the two.

If not, $50 is a fairly cheap fix... I think...

There is alot of room on the inside on the Tom barrel, right?

Hey Dave, have you thought of getting a different front end, like a longer front end and inner barrel? Make it into a sniper rifle, or at least more accurate? Or do an AK front end and make it into a bit more ergonomic and tech looking gun?

Common, that pulse rifle is looking pretty good now, eh? Laughing

Looking at it last night it would be really easy to fix. I just need to find a place that will cut 3-5mm steel. I have thought about adding a longer barrel...wouldn't take much at all.

I have some steel bars here at home, also the nessessary cutting and shaping tools. If anything, nothing like a quick trip to Canadian Tire won't solve... I also have some weld epoxy...

Are you free tonight? I have a practice at 7:45 tonight but maybe I could drop by for 1/2 an hour and we could take a look at it? Give me a call 967-4602 if you can I'll be off line for the rest of tonight. I'll show you this crazy scope if I come over. Frag you should pop by and try to mount it to your M4.

Toms outer barrel broke but after some time with a grinder, jigsaw and welding steal I have a fix!! The barrel is so solid now, it's going to be really easy to attach a new barrel and make it sturdy, if anyone gets word of a psg1 tightbore give me a heads up and I'll buy if it's a good deal. Is that a Desert Eagle barrel on tommy?

I have to stop treating my tommy like a real steal. I poped the cast outer barrel connection (different one) I got it repaired at princess auto, welded) so now it should be all sturdy and what not. Here's a pick.
